Child Hypnosis

Hypnosis can help children cope more confidently with fears, inner restlessness, sleep difficulties and challenging situations. Using stories, guided imagery and familiar ideas, each session is tailored in a playful and age-appropriate way to your child’s individual needs. This helps your child develop their own strategies, giving them greater confidence and emotional stability in everyday life.

Using Natural Trance States

Children often find themselves in trance-like states quite naturally—especially younger children, who frequently lose themselves in daydreams. Whenever they listen to an exciting story, become engrossed in play, or look at a book, they are in a kind of trance. These natural states are ideal for use in hypnosis.

To induce the trance, we have the children sing a nursery rhyme or count colorful balloons, for example. Then an exciting story begins, tailored individually to the child’s specific interests. For the child, hypnosis feels like an imaginative adventure in which they remain attentive and fully present.

During the trance, we give the children helpful tools to support them in everyday life. For example, a superhero or their favorite unicorn can become a personal helper during hypnosis, whom the child can call upon for support at any time, such as when they are sad or feeling upset at school. The child can confide in this helper about anything that is on their mind.
